Most of the actors who star in this film are the writer-director, friends of Gábor Reisz, students or teachers
Plot
Abel is a high school student who has trouble concentrating on his final exams, while being hopelessly in love with his best friend Janka. Due to the subject matter of the film, the Hungarian government did not approve the film’s funding, so the budget and crew are reduced.
After leaving the theater, I felt like I had been robbed – not at all
This film was complete crap, it doesn’t know what it wants to be and to be honest, it just doesn’t make sense – I say this as a Hungarian. There were a few scenes where I thought, wow, ok, finally something is happening, but the director decided to leave these threads as they are without continuing them at all.
only financially, but also in terms of time
This poorly executed script could have been put together in less than an hour, but the slow and tragically bad acting mostly leads to painfully long dialogues and scenes. I think this is a perfect example of how not to make a movie.
1/10 (I would give it 0 to be honest)
It had potential, they could have created some kind of comparison with the change of the socialist regime in the past, but the terrible director let that thread disappear into the ether. I would not recommend watching this crap to anyone who likes movies.
